Wizards of the Coast Officially Announces Hatsune Miku Secret Lair Deck for Magic: The Gathering
Wizards of the Coast has officially confirmed its Secret Lair Hatsune Miku deck for Magic: The Gathering. After several reported leaks, the tabletop giant has confirmed its first Universes Beyond Commander deck featuring the vocaloid star will be soon available for pre-order.
The Secret Lair Hatsune Miku Deck Announcement
The official press release for the Secret Lair Hatsune Miku deck confirms some of the details eagle-eyed players were able to gleam from the deck’s initial leak. The deck is White/Green lifegain deck that focuses on musical performance-themed cards. The deck will also feature foil borderless basic land cards and 13 cards featuring new artwork by Japanese artists and various fan-favorite creators including 八三/HASSAN and さいとうなおき/NAOKI SAITO.
If you order the Secret Lair Hatsune Miku deck, you will receive the following:
- A ready-to-play 100-card Commander deck containing 12 foil borderless art cards of new artwork, 7 foil borderless Plains, 7 foil borderless Forests, and 74 non-foil reprints
- 10 Non-foil double-sided tokens
- 1 Trostani, Selensya Voice as “Miku, Song of the People” display commander
- 1 Hatsune Miku-themed deck box
For those worried about FOMO, Wizards of the Coast has announced it is doing pre-orders for the Secret Lair Hatsune Miku deck a little differently. For 24-hours, specifically between Monday August 10, 2026 at 9 AM PT and Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 8:59 AM PT, all purchases will be print-to-order. That means if you pre-order the deck within this window, you are guaranteed to get one.
A limited number of these orders will go out immediately. Otherwise, you will need to wait until May 2027 if you’re in the US or June 2027 if you’re in the EU/UK.
Pre-orders will go live for the Secret Lair Hatsune Miku deck at the Secret Lair website on August 10 at 9 AM. The deck will be sold at an MSRP of $149.99.
