The winners of the World Beer Awards 2026 were announced this week at Sprowston Manor in Norwich, UK, where brewers, judges and industry professionals came together to celebrate another exceptional year for the global beer industry.
This year’s competition welcomed a strong number of entries, reflecting the breadth of talent, innovation and craftsmanship within today’s brewing industry.
The competition begins by recognising the best beers within each participating country, with style winners awarded the title of Country Winner.
Those winners then progress to the second round, competing against beers of the same style from around the world. The winners of each style category are then awarded the coveted World’s Best title.
This year’s World’s Best winners included Landel Atrás do Bloco, named World’s Best IPA; Bavik Super Pils, awarded World’s Best Lager; and Keller Holz Imperial Stout, crowned World’s Best Stout & Porter.
These exceptional beers impressed the judges with their quality, character and craftsmanship, earning the highest honour in their respective categories.
Alongside taste, the World Beer Awards also celebrates excellence in design, recognising the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into bringing a beer and its identity to life.
This year’s winners included Modelo Family, awarded Best Bottle Design; Eisenbahn Unfiltered, named Best Can Design; and Attic Brew Co Intuition, which took home Best Redesign / Relaunch.
From labels and packaging to new launches and complete ranges, the Design awards recognise the visual creativity that helps beers make an impact beyond what’s inside the bottle or can.
Pete Brown, global chair of judges for the awards, says the judges this year all felt that the standard of beers was exceptionally high.
“It’s a nice, and not that usual, problem to have, but picking our overall winners was more difficult than ever before,” he says. “Well done to all our winners – you really had to be exceptional!”
