Meet Dytto – the AI agent built to take the routine work off accounting and bookkeeping firms. It pulls emails, notes and client context into one place, drafts client emails in your firm’s tone, and answers accounting questions with the sources cited alongside them, so you always know where a figure came from.
We caught up with the team ahead of Accountex Summit Manchester to find out more about the product, the story behind it, and what they’re looking forward to at the show.
What does Dytto do?
Dytto is the AI agent for accounting and bookkeeping firms. It plugs into the software a firm already runs on and takes on the routine work: file reviews, VAT checks, bank processing, client emails. Ask it about a client and the answer comes back with the source next to it, so you can check where every figure comes from. Show it once how your firm reviews a file or checks a return, and it does it the same way from then on, for every client. You sign off on everything.
How did you get started?
Dytto was founded in Ghent by Niels Van Driessche and Jorne De Blaere. Niels spent ten years in finance and consulting. Jorne built AI products at Silverfin. Talking to accountants, we kept hearing the same thing: firms could see AI taking the repetitive work off them, but nothing on the market lived up to it. In February we raised €1.5m to build it properly.
What are you looking forward to most at Accountex Summit Manchester?
Showing the product to UK firms face to face. We could cold call, but we would rather turn up and let people put a real question in front of it. It does the convincing better than we do. We already have UK clients, and Manchester is the best way to understand the wider market: how firms here work, what they run on, and where their time still goes. And we want to hear where they think AI could help.
Why should visitors come to your stand?
Bring a real client question and we will answer it on the spot. You will see it pull the figures out of the bookkeeping software, check where the file stands in the mailbox, and give you an answer where every number points back to the system it came from. Bring the job you are most tired of repeating as well, and we will show you how firms have set that up so it runs the same way on every client.
