Birthday Brunch at Nibble
Moving back to the Breakfast Burger, I took my first bite, feeling the perfect crunch of the hash brown and immediately tasting the warm goo of egg intermixed with the DOUBLE (yes, you heard right) sausage pattie.
I’m not gonna lie, it was pretty darn good! With a beast of a burger, I couldn’t fit it all in my mouth and opted to deconstruct the burger, slowly appreciating every bite taken. I was well and truly stuffed, my readers. It was extremely great value for money for this high-quality homemade food.
Very shortly, my latte coffee arrived, piping hot and ready to wash down the burger. Taking time to sip, I observed the already busy surroundings, thanks in part due to artists getting their morning coffee before their sets at the Humber Street Sesh Festival later on that day. The staff were extremely friendly, always there with a smile, a generous welcome for when you arrive and always ensuring your water jug is kept filled.
Soon, both Thomas and I plotted what to do for the rest of the day – a shopping trip was on the cards but where? I confess that I have fallen back into collecting the popular Pokemon cards and it was extremely rare to find them anywhere now. But, as we went to pay for our meal, one of the staff members recommended a market stall in Hull Trinity Market, which was just a quick 10 minutes away. We appreciated the suggestion and Thomas mentioned that it was also my birthday too!
Well, they were absolutely pleased that we spent a birthday brunch at their establishment and prompted me to choose a complimentary cake slice from their display for my celebratory day.
Despite my humble thanks, I already decided (inwardly) on the very cake I wanted – the Cookie Pie Cake! I had spied it immediately as I walked in and took our seats right in front of the cake display – the Cookie Pie Cake was full of chocolatey and creamy layer goodness. Boxing it up in a cute package for me with a handwritten note of ‘happy birthday!’ I was touched by the gesture and I was determined to savour the extremely delicious looking cake slice later on the day… I was really stuffed from the Breakfast Burger to have it then!
