WJW anchor Wayne Dawson is coming back to launch a new 30 minute show called Wayne’s World after recovering from surgery and treatment for oral cancer.
He’s been off the air at the Cleveland, Ohio Fox affiliate since 2024. In March, he announced he was done with 34 rounds of radiation.
“My treatments are over and now it’s all about recovery, and that’s a journey as well,” he said. “Right now, I still can’t taste. My taste buds are still damaged by the radiation, although they told me that they’ll come back.”
His new show will air exclusively on the station’s smart TV streaming app, FOX 8 CLE+.
The FOX 8 CLE+ streaming app is only available through Amazon Firestick, Roku or Apple TV.
