GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) has taken delivery of its first A330-200 in its own livery, wet leased from sister company Wamos Air, also part of Abra Group.

The arrival of the aircraft, EC-NBN (msn 818) came ahead of the launch of GOL’s new Rio de Janeiro International–New York JFK service on July 8.

The aircraft is configured with 280 seats and represents GOL’s introduction to the widebody segment as it prepares to receive its five in-house A330-900Ns in the near future. Until now, GOL’s strategy had centred around a narrowbody Boeing B737 fleet.

GOL operates a fleet of 144 aircraft, comprising twelve B737-700s, fifty-seven B737-8s, sixty-six B737-800s, and nine B737-800(BCF)s.
