Egan’s Conviction – $75
We’ve covered a wide range of barrels, and we’ll end with a whiskey aged in an underutilized option, cognac. Conviction was added to the Egan’s lineup a couple years, and now you can find it as part of Total Wine’s Spirits Direct program. It’s a blend of 10+ year old single malt and single grain Irish whiskeys, finished in XO Cognac casks. It’s ginger, nuttiness, and fresh citrus beg another sip, but the finish hangs around long enough to help you space out those drinks for at least a few seconds.
