See Image Engine’s breakdown for Avatar: The Last Airbender S2

Vancouver’s Image Engine has posted its VFX breakdown for Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of fantasy adventure series Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The reel spans a range of work, including the CG environment for Ba Sing Se, the massive capital city of the Earth Kingdom, and CG creatures (the foxalopes are awfully cute).

But as you might expect, the highlights are the effects, which span all four elements, including Katara’s ice bandolier, and some spectacular fire-and-water duels.
