Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 215 Manga Review
フェアリーテイル 100年クエスト
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
Mercphobia surprises Lucy by revealing he is the father’s of Selene’s deceased child, Kurunugi. Earth Build decides to interrupt and attack both dragons. He accuses the pair of getting weak because they back humans. Mercphobia and Selene merge into Lucy to give her to power of Moon and Water Dragons. As such, Lucy has a new outfit on.
An enraged Wed tries to attack Lucy. With her new powers, Lucy perceives Wed as moving in slow motion. The dragons tell her to use a specialized whip. Lucy does and shatters Wed’s sword and instantly defeats him. However, Mercphobia feels they can’t defeat Earth Build yet. Selene advises they way for Wendy.
Elsewhere, Carla flies Wendy to Aldoron’s core. However, as they approach it, an Aldoron tree-humanoid “grows” out of the roots.
Still elsewhere, due to the heat, Happy cannot fly Natsu closer to Ignia’s ring of fire in the air. As such, Misfortune takes over as Natsu orders Happy to stay behind. However, even she struggles but vows to get through.
Thoughts/Review:
Again, Mashima-sensei wants Lucy to be a melee fighter rather than a support summoner in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 215. At least in this chapter, it isn’t Lucy doing these things as much as it is Mercphobia and Selene doing it.
Still, what’s the point? I mean both are so-called “dragon gods” that were part of the unfinishable 100 Years Quest. Even in a weakened state, they should be easily able to overcome Wed. And together, with Lucy summoning some support, they should be able to hold off Earth Build. But instead, they gotta go into Lucy so (1) Lucy gets a sexy outfit and (2) Lucy can do the actual fighting. 🤷♂️
As for Wendy, it does appear as if an Aldoron humanoid wood figure is emerging. But does he oppose Wendy or help her? Opposing Wendy gives for a chance for battle. However, Wendy isn’t doing Jack, so if there is a fight, one of the other “forgotten” additions should show up to help.
As to Natsu, it is a bit sad that Happy got left behind. It wouldn’t surprise me if somehow Happy finds a way to save the day and let Natsu do his thing.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In the end, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 215 is fine for what it is, though I’m always going to maintain that a summoner should be a summoner. But that’s just me.
