With Iroha and Akane joining Magilumire, Shigemoto goes on a business trip to interview a potential applicant. However, we find out what kind of person Hibiki is.
As expected, we find out what kind of person Hibiki is. Well, it’s obvious that he has the looks of a delinquent. However, he is really close with Sakae. By how he reacts after realizing that he has an interview and thinks about cancelling it, it really gets Akane upset, especially because she finds out that Hibiki is playing hooky and not handing in assignments. Hibiki said that school doesn’t make him money, so he focuses on various jobs. It’s obvious he only cares about making money.
Now that Hibiki said that if he is not suitable for the position, he is to discard his application, this makes Akane really upset. Funny how Hitomi made a remark that he would be better at AST instead, given his attitude. Of course, Sakae is not having it at all since Hibiki was being rude. She thinks that with Hibiki’s abilities; she thought he would be at a better school than KMU. She seems worried about Hibiki’s future, as he would look terrible if he flunked out of university. He really doesn’t enjoy being called a doofus. Despite the splat, Shigemoto was still going forward with the interview.
Aside from that splat, eventually Sakae explained the lore behind the festival. She also showed off Igni, but a smaller version, which came on a USB drive. Apparently, Hibiki was the one who helped convert the pre-type B Kaii that had a distinctive shape of a wolf since it’s already weakened. This allows it to obey Sakae’s orders. The funny thing is Kaede becomes very interested in Hibiki’s abilities, although Hibiki treats it as being superficial.
Believe it or not, this really makes Akane angry at him for saying that he is not fit for the job, since he doesn’t care about connecting with other potential coworkers. Akane doesn’t think Hibiki will survive in real life, and of course he shuts the door as he doesn’t like complaints thrown at him. It really shows that nobody will hire him with that attitude, no matter how good his abilities are, as he can’t work in a team. Akane, of course, loads her grievances against him to Hitomi as she smiles. Kaede is the only one in the room who thinks differently.
The next morning, Shigemoto is eating meat as he seems nervous about his guest lecture. As he focused on his lecture, the young ladies went to the festival and enjoyed the festivities. Hibiki eventually met them with Sakae, as he is making sure the barrier is functional. After all, while Igni doesn’t pose a threat, any magical forces would, as it can cause a potential to not only ruin the event but also cause a potential mutation. This makes Kana a little worried.
Meanwhile, Shigemoto is running late as students keep asking more questions. However, he saw a glimpse of a guy who should be in jail. He ended the session early as he wanted to track him down. That is why Sakae started the festival event with Igni with an interesting magical girl transformation. Also, there is a suspicious guy with a gun on his back holding a drink, mentioning that if Tsutsumi had done the job right, he wouldn’t have to be here. It makes me wonder what his motives are. For sure, he will sabotage the event. I can guarantee it.
