Now Satoko has laid down the basic foundations for Kohona to live a new life, Kohona suddenly wants a job. She doesn’t realize that finding a job seems harder than she believes.

With Kohona now on the family register, wearing that embarrassing unicorn sweater, she sees a now-hiring ad in a shop window. When she ran into Yoshida walking dogs as a part-time job, it gave Kohona the urge to get a job. The funny thing is that Satoko questions Kohona’s desire to find a job since her assassin job is making a lot of money already.

It’s evident that Kohona is a go-getter, but Satoko won’t help her find a job. After all, she wants Kohona only to work for her, even if Kohona is bored while Satoko is at school. As expected, Kohona worked on her resume, which was probably the most challenging part of overcoming the first hurdle. She had a hard time since she doesn’t have a formal education, and she can’t mention her ninja stuff.

Kohona finds out that finding a job is not easy as it sounds.

I can see why hiring managers won’t hire recent graduates.

With that, Satoko allowed Kohona to borrow a school uniform. However, she had to wear a blood-stained shirt as that was the only one Satoko had to lend her. The funny thing is that every employer rejected her because of her age, the contents of her resume being a “joke,” and her appearance.

While her experiences are somewhat relatable, besides the exaggerated rejections that Kohona experiences, I get a lot of rejections. It took me three years to find a job since I only had a year of experience when other places demand 3 to 5 years of experience for entry-level jobs. Don’t get me started with the ATS systems, which make getting a job harder.

Well, Kohona failed to get hired after doing interviews, but she landed in one job.

I guess she won’t last this long in this job.

It’s funny to see Kohona get upset, but Satoko knows a way around this. Lie on her resume regarding her qualifications and education. Satoko got a bit further with interviews, like I did. As expected, she received rejections except for one, which involved a job poking corpses in a pool for washing. Yep, she quit that job, which is not too surprising. At least she got to experience a 9 to 5 job, but the nasty job. No wonder Kohona quit. I would, too.

Funny how Satoko threatens Kuro with a pizza cutter.

In the second half, we finally see the “leader,” Kuro’s fiancé. Yes, it’s Yuriko who works in an office. It’s funny to see Kohona’s reaction when she finds out that Kuro is in a relationship with another woman who is also female. Yep, they are lesbians, but it’s not too surprising, given the “yuri” in Yuriko’s name. She treats Kohona to pizza. Satoko somehow showed up since she had the urge to have Italian.

Kohona offered to give the cream that is on her face to Satoko until.

Arisa, the next ninja assassin to take on Kohona and Satoko.

Kohona attacked Arisa’s weak point for massive damage.

At the restaurant, the assassin ninja is wearing a mask. Believe it or not, this is the same young lady working at a not-Starbucks having trouble taking a customer’s order. Eventually, the ninja attacks Satoko and Kohona, who are having crapes. Kusagakure Arisa uses gauntlets to attack. The funny thing is that she is not that powerful after Kohona turned her gauntlets into leaves. Afterwards, Satoko proceeds to assassinate her. With Arisa gone, the new barista at the not-Starbucks has no trouble taking her order. It’s funny how Arisa’s apartment is now empty as the leave remains of Arisa get swept into the trash. Also, Kohona learns about Satoko’s gacha addiction after finding empty gift cards.
