It is a little surprising to see the newest vintage of this dependable Kirkland Cabernet arrive in stores in July. The previous 2023 vintage just landed in October, but we’ll take it.
This is a solid wine year to year, and this vintage is no different. More of the same greatness, but get this…the price actually went down.
The 2023 vintage was $9.79, where the wine has been priced for a while. But this new 2024 vintage is only $7.99. That is a steal for a wine of this caliber.
Our ratings over the years are pretty consistent, 87 and 88 points.

Very similar tasting notes for the 2024 vintage compared to the prior one. It tastes like the same wine, and that’s great because it was delicious and now the price is even better.
The wine is a medium to dark ruby in the glass, with dark fruit aromas, a little spice; leaning towards a full body with flavors of black cherry, jammy blackberry, and plum; a nice balance of dark chocolate, cedar and spice in the finish. Solid WA state Cabernet.
This is a huge step up from your everyday grocery store bottle in the same price range, and is just begging to be stocked up on.
We wouldn’t be surprised if this one moves off shelves fast. Enjoy…this is why we buy wine at Costco.
