Reality TV star Phyna has defeated Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing by knockout (KO) in a historic female celebrity boxing match.
The highly anticipated bout took place on October 1, 2026, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. It served as a major attraction for Balmoral Promotions’ “Chaos in the Ring” event series.
Fight Highlights & Context
The Finish: Phyna (Josephina Otabor) made history by flooring Nkechi Blessing in the fourth round of their scheduled four-round contest, sealing the win in Nigeria’s first-ever female celebrity boxing match.
The Backstory: The match was organized to settle a heated social media feud. The dispute began in September 2026 when Nkechi Blessing publicly criticized Phyna’s online behavior, leading to severe trash-talking, an egg-throwing incident at a pre-fight press conference, and even a physical scuffle during a studio recording.
What’s Next: Following her victory, Phyna wasted no time celebrating and immediately called out her next target—actress Etinosa Idemudia, whom she accused of spamming her direct messages.
