Returning to Bankside Gallery for the fourth year, the 2026 Finalists Exhibition presented a selection of shortlisted and prize-winning artists, chosen from 16,280 submissions across 110 countries. 50 original paintings, drawings, and prints were on show, including the First Prize winner, small but mighty oil painting, Essex Emerald by Angela Lizon.
Congratulations to all the exhibited artists. We look forward to opening submissions to Jackson’s Art Prize 2027 later this year.

Visitors’ Choice Award
Alison Laing
For the second year running, visitors to the Bankside Gallery exhibition were invited to vote for their favourite exhibited artwork to receive the Visitors’ Choice Award.
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the 2026 Visitors’ Choice Award is the oil and pigment stick painting, Above, by Alison Laing.
