Abia Governor Alex Otti Supports Ngozi Nwosu’s Medical Treatment

In a commendable show of leadership and support for the creative industry, Abia State Governor Alex Otti has intervened to assist veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu as she faces critical health challenges.
The governor has officially approved the first tranche of funds to cover a portion of the veteran star’s mounting medical bills, offering much-needed relief to the beloved actress and her family.
The Battle for Recovery
The news of Governor Otti’s intervention was made public by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, music star Justice Martins (J Martins). Taking to social media to express gratitude, J Martins shared the update while rallying further public assistance:
“His Excellency Alex Otti has just stepped in on the health issues of our Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs Ngozi Nwosu, to approve the first part of our medical bills… On behalf of the creative industry, we all thank you immensely, My leader, Ndewo sir.”
Despite the government’s swift backing, J Martins emphasized that additional resources are still desperately needed, appealing to kind-hearted Nigerians and corporate bodies to join the cause.

Ngozi Nwosu recently shocked fans and colleagues by sharing an emotional update from her hospital bed. After spending three weeks hospitalized due to a severe underlying health condition, the veteran actress revealed that she requires three urgent, life-saving surgeries with a total estimated cost of ₦30 million.
Known for her vibrant energy and unforgettable contributions to Nigerian cinema over the decades, Nwosu admitted how difficult it was to publicly ask for help, but stated she had no other option as she fights for her health.
