Residents of Neknampur in Manikonda were alarmed after around six suspected members of a “Chaddi Gang” allegedly entered Flotilla Apartments. They reportedly cut through fencing near a lake before reaching the complex.
The suspects allegedly entered a flat through the C Block staircase and left with valuables, according to the information available about the incident.
A resident reportedly confronted the group. The suspects allegedly threatened him and tried to attack him with weapons before fleeing.
Narsingi police are examining CCTV footage to trace the suspects’ movements. Residents have urged authorities to increase night patrols in Neknampur and Alkapur Township.
Police have asked people to stay alert and report any suspicious movement immediately.
