Receiving the Best Gift of Christmas
Everyone likes to receive or give gifts at Christmas. Depending on the person and their present desires, one gift may be better than another. However, the best gift that anyone can receive, no matter their age or location, is the gift of forgiveness Jesus purchased by His sacrificial death for all who will believe and receive it. He was born to die on behalf of all mankind.
The name Jesus means “Savior” or “Yahweh is salvation,” and it’s derived from the Hebrew name Yeshua. So Jesus came to save people from their sins, making forgiveness the main reason for His birth and this Christmas season. If He is not already, He desires to be your Savior today.
There is nothing on earth that can keep you from receiving this gift if you reach out to receive it. You cannot earn it or pay for it. God sent Jesus to this earth so everyone, no matter their social or economic status, can freely receive His gift. The beautiful thing about this gift of eternal forgiveness is no one can take it away from you once you receive it.
