This was me over the summer and even now, to an extent. I was creative but never mechanical or should I say technical? And here I am tethered to hospital gadgets and confined to my room at home, even as II learn to walk yet again .
Don’t get me wrong. I praise God that I am here, I wasn’t supposed to be Having sought the Prince of Peace before and recovering, I knew how and what to pray, and still the expression I got before a biopsy had me thinking something I didn’t care to.
This post is not meant to be a complaint, it is intended to give you an idea of what it is like to be so dependent and connected to technology. It still took a more omniscient and loving Lord to save my life and soul. I do believe that He guided me through it all and got me to the right hospital.
What I’m trying to convey is that we are lacking communication. People don’t all to each other. We talk to machines. Every place has one, and they have cutesy names but still ask you to repeat everything. I truly appreciate the care.
You know it is true. Young and old, men, women, children won’t look. up from their screens. I loved television but I also went outside, enjoyed art, shopping, and not online. I like recipes but I know what to put in the cart. I don’t have to know each item when she shops just what time to expect the delivery.
And now, I’ve just heard that robotic caregivers are becoming available next year. They will never replace humans. Science cannot create spirits, give them a soul, body, maybe, but they are only as good as their programming. And who is doing that? Science cannot or create God or love. He proved His love by sending Jesus, science may be aiming for eternal life, but is still artificial. God will not be mocked, He doesn’t want us to be deceived, I pray the Holy Spirit give wisdom but we have to receive and discern it.
Everyone is dashing everywhere already programmed in a way,the world over. Nine to five has become twenty four seven. Stores aren’t closed. on Sunday, or anytime there is an app. We are inundated with media, and impressionable minds are led astray and being put in danger, if not causing it.
We are blessed with many innovations but they should never replace friend, family or time with God. So, let’s allow Him to release us from our tether s, break unholy spiritual ties. We can put down the phone, lapt, iPad, or controller and turn our eyes to Jesus.
He does answer prayer and makes it beautiful in His time, Ecclesiastes 3:11. He’s just asking for love and respect from His children. You don’t have to text Him, He’s right there in your heart as a believer.
