Forge, a new B2B events powerhouse, made its official debut on Wednesday following Apollo Funds’ acquisition of Emerald and Questex in July. “Today marks the beginning of Forge, a company built on the strengths of Emerald and Questex,” said Paul Miller, the newly appointed CEO of Forge, in a press release. “Together we are now the largest B2B events and media company in North America, and one of the largest in the world.”
Forge combines Emerald’s portfolio of meetings and trade shows with Questex’s roster of specialized events, media brands, as well as its proprietary 365-day digital engagement model. Although Forge sits above both Emerald and Questex’s individual event and media brands as their new corporate parent brand, both entities will continue to operate under their existing names. “We’re helping customers see what is ahead and connect with the people who matter most to them, backed by the data, talent and scale to deliver measurable value year-round. Under Apollo Funds’ ownership, we will keep investing in our products, our people, and the markets we serve,” Miller said.
