James ‘The Freak’ Morrissey has cut the asking price for his Glen Huntly home.
The Glen Huntly home of AFL player James ‘The Freak’ Morrissey has had a $300,000 price cut as the former Hawk continues hunting a sale in a tricky market.
Morrissey earned his nickname for turning tough angles into goals, scoring goals in three Premierships in a 106-game, 100-goal career before he returned to teaching.
He bought the 37 Dorothy Ave home for $165,000 in 1994, and has loved the location next to EE Gunn Reserve that was an extension of his back yard as he raised his kids with partner Nancy.

The California bungalow hit the market with a $2m-$2.2m range in June, but is now priced from $1.8m-$1.9m in an expressions of interest campaign.
Professionals First and Co agent Chloe Ha said buyers inspecting the home had loved the California bungalow facade, and the connection with the local community afforded by the neighbouring green space — but the right one hadn’t connected with it yet.
The house has multiple living areas around its ground level, and a pair of bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom.

The four-bedroom house is set up for multi-generational living, with a second kitchen and living zone connected to a bedroom with an ensuite.
The Morrissey’s are selling up after 30 years in the home with plans to downsize.
