Sun King Brewery Announces Strategic Evolution of Florida Operations, Strengthening Local Partnerships, and Expanding Presence on Siesta Key

Press Release: Sun King Brewery today announced several strategic enhancements to its Florida operations designed to position the company for continued success in the evolving craft beer landscape while deepening its commitment to local partnerships and the Sarasota-Bradenton community. 

Beginning in October, Sun King will transition brewing operations from its Sarasota brewery to a trusted co-manufacturing partner, Sun Lab Brewing, in nearby Bradenton. This new collaboration allows Sun King to streamline operations, maintain local
production of its Florida-brewed beers and support another independent Florida brewery through a collaborative partnership.  

As part of this transition, the Sun King Sarasota Brewery and Taproom will evolve into a new taproom concept, The Brewer’s Collaborative Tap House, operated by Sun King’s longtime food partner, Dan A’pizz Man – Wood Fired Pizza Truck. The locally owned business plans to install a small brewing system and work with brewers from Brew Life, 3 Car Garage and 3 Bridges Brewing, while continuing to serve Sun King beers.  

Sun King’s taproom presence in the region will shift to Captain Curt’s Village on Siesta Key, with the opening of the new Sun King Taproom at Captain Curt’s Village later this fall. The new location will create a premier craft beer destination on Siesta Key for both locals and visitors, bringing Sun King’s award-winning beers to one of Florida’s most
popular vacation destinations. 

The move is expected to provide Sun King with increased access to the thousands of travelers who visit Siesta Key each year, while giving longtime fans a full-service hospitality experience enhanced by Captain Curt’s renowned food offerings and
exceptional guest service.
