Daniel Gräfe has released Timing 2026.5 to introduce an MCP server to the time and productivity tracking app. Connect-level subscribers (Timing’s top tier) can have agents that run on your Mac (such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex) to review your tracked activities, file unassigned activities into projects, manage projects and rules, and log time entries. The release also improves keyword rules so that they match regardless of capitalization and accents, enables you to drop activities onto the project drop zone to create a matching rule for more kinds of rows (like websites, window titles, and devices), improves tracking for the ChatGPT/Codex and Claude desktop apps after their latest updates, improves tracking for Apple’s Notes in macOS 27 Golden Gate, ensures the menu bar item no longer appears dimmed while a timer is running, and resolves an issue where Timing could stop importing Screen Time data from a rarely used iPhone or iPad.
