The Lewis family has increased its stake in Tottenham after a £120 million cash injection, while Daniel Levy’s interest in ENIC has fallen to 25%. The change updates the balance within the ownership company; it does not confirm a sale or takeover.
How the ownership changed
Football.London reports that the latest £120 million injection was for working capital and takes the family’s total investment in the club to £320 million over the previous 12 months. ENIC Sports, Inc.’s holding in Tottenham Hotspur Limited has consequently risen from 88.30% to 89.06%, reflecting shares allotted in September 2026.
The club’s investor-relations figures show the distinction between the two ownership layers: ENIC owns 89.06% of Tottenham, while trusts linked to the Lewis family ultimately hold 75% of ENIC and trusts linked to Levy hold 25%. Levy’s interest was reported at 29.8% in October 2025 and 27.38% in June 2026; he did not match either of the latest funding contributions. The share issue is the mechanism behind that dilution.
Levy has also been linked with a possible sale of a substantial part of his ENIC stake to Eight Sports Capital. That remains a reported possibility, not a completed transaction; the current ownership figures still place his family trusts at 25%. His ENIC holding has therefore shrunk through dilution, with no confirmed sale established by this update.
Lewis family takes a more active role
Vivienne Lewis and her son-in-law, Nick Beucher, have taken a more active role in backing chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and non-executive chairman Peter Charrington, according to the report. The family has previously resisted approaches to sell the club and told supporters in May that it was investing in Tottenham rather than putting it up for sale.
The ownership split is now clearer on paper. Whether Levy’s stake changes again depends on any future contribution or a formally completed sale.
