Mom’s Review

I love the combination of photographed leaves and drawn boy. Mozzillo’s text spotlights the many feelings, moods, and inclinations we have, culminating in the line referenced by the title. It is Balducci’s images that represent each of the boy’s thoughts through either his reflection by leaves or his interaction with them, where boy and leaf are of a size. I Am a Leaf is a unique and worthwhile book, sparking introspection. This Italian import will offer something new with each read.
