A Bellevue Hill trophy home crafted by the late Ercole Palazzetti, and later updated by Alec Tzannes, has sold for more than $30m after both the vendors and buyers moved on with deals for similar sums.
The modernised four-bedroom residence at 83 Bulkara Rd, which was listed with Darren Curtis and Hui Xu of Forbes Global Properties, quietly exchanged earlier this week.
Last year, the four-bedroom home had appeared via another agent with $35.6m price hopes, but resurfaced earlier this year with a new agent and a revised guide in the mid $30m bracket.
Title records show the three-storey property is in the name of Glenda Duncan, whose husband Greg sold luxury car dealership Trivett Group in 2013 for $116m.

The Duncans, who paid $1.55m for the residence in 1996, are likely downsizing to the four-bedroom Buckhurst Avenue apartment they bought last year from chicken heiress Sue Ingham for $29.5m – a deal that cracked the Point Piper apartment record by $7 million.
Although Curtis was unavailable to comment on the Bulkara Rd sale, Wentworth Courier sources revealed that the home sold in excess of $30m to former senior CBA and Merrill Lynch executive Doug Dovey and his wife Debbie.
In August, the Doveys reportedly scored “about $30m” for their Mosman pile – a contemporary five-bedroom home on Coronation Ave where singing megastars Justin Bieber and Adele have both stayed during their individual down under tours.

The couple has traded in their lower north shore harbour backdrop for an eastern suburbs water view facing the city skyline while also swapping a monochrome Mosman palette for a warmer earthy tone in Bellevue Hill.
Since Palazzetti’s original 1990s build, the property underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2013 by architect Alec Tzannes.
Beyond the signature sculptured Palazzetti facade, the Bellevue Hill house has multiple living and entertaining areas including a grand marble kitchen, a combined dining and lounge room with a central statement fireplace and a curved terrace overlooking the harbour.
