Anthropic has developed an economic model exploring the potential impact of AI on the US economy, jobs and wages through 2030. One extreme scenario show AI could performing half of all knowledge-work tasks by 2030, leading to an 8.3% increase in GDP but stagnant wages for knowledge workers. That scenario envisions AI surpassing human productivity in most knowledge-work tasks, resulting in a 32.4% larger economy but a more-than-10% drop in wages for knowledge workers and rising unemployment.
