Etihad Airways announced that it will upgrade its single-aisle Airbus A321LR cabin flying experience with signature premium class products offered on its widebody aircraft.
Etihad’s first A321LR will enter service on August 1, 2025, with 10 aircraft joining the fleet in 2025.
With this cabin upgrade and customization, Etihad said it will deliver widebody comfort on short and medium-haul routes on the A321LR.

Etihad’s A321LR will feature two exclusive First suites, a private, enclosed space with a sliding door, lie-flat bed, elevated dining, and bespoke design touches. The suite also offers additional space for a companion to sit as well as a large 20” 4K screen for entertainment, with Bluetooth pairing and wireless charging.
The new Business cabin will feature widebody-style seats, all forward-facing with direct aisle access in a herringbone layout with 14 fully-flat 78” beds. Each seat includes a 17.3” 4K screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, wireless charging, and personal storage.
Economy class will have 144 seats with 5” recline, enhanced ergonomics, and generous space. According to Etihad, it is one of the widest Economy seats in the industry at 18.4” wide.
Etihad’s A321LR aircraft is scheduled to fly from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) to destinations including:

- Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
- Chennai International Airport (MAA)
- Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX)

- Medan Airport (KNO)
- Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)
- Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

Neves also said that the A321LR’s arrival is a “transformational moment” in line with Etihad’s 2030 vision of doubling its fleet size, tripling passenger numbers, and opening 16 new destinations in 2025.
