Airbus still appears to be a long way off its aircraft delivery target of around 820 jets after publishing its figures for April 2025.
According to the European manufacturer the company delivered 56 aircraft to 33 customers in April 2025, a fall from 61 aircraft over the same period last year.
Between January and March 2025, Airbus delivered 136 commercial jets, rising to 192 with the latest figures released on May 7, 2025.
In February 2025, Airbus announced that it planned to deliver “around 820” commercial aircraft this year, but with only 23% of those deliveries completed things will have to quicken up.
On April 30, 2025, the CEO of Airbus, Guillaume Faury, said that the company was “ramping up production” in line with its plans “but the delivery profile will be backloaded”.
Around the same time, he also revealed that 17 aircraft had been parked while awaiting engines from CFM International.
During April 2025, IndiGo and China Southern Airlines received the most aircraft with five deliveries each, followed Delta Air Lines with three.
Etihad Airways received an Airbus A350-1000, while Starlux Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Delta Air Lines also received a single A350-900.
In more positive news for Airbus, the company announced delivery of its 12,000th A320 family aircraft and an order from China Airlines for 10 A350-1000s plus a single order from an undisclosed customer.
