We’ve restricted comments for the last seven months, requiring moderation and approval before posting. 
For the most part, readers behaved. There have been some comments I sent directly to trash.
For the month of July, with the Farnborough Air Show coming, I’m reverting to the policy in place from 2008 to December 2025: previously approved readers will be able to post, and their comments will appear within seconds (assuming no technical glitches). Readers will be able to post on all freewall articles; paid subscribers will also be able to post on the paywall articles marked Subscription Required.
If readers don’t behave, we won’t hesitate to return to the Open Forum policy that’s been in place since December.
