Low cost carrier easyJet plans to launch new routes from both Belgrade and Ljubljana this coming winter season. The airline will introduce flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and the Serbian capital, as well as a new service between Manchester and Ljubljana.
easyJet will inaugurate flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Belgrade on October 27, with services to be maintained twice per week on Mondays and Fridays. It will compete directly against Air Serbia on the route. Paris will become easyJet’s second destination out of Belgrade alongside Geneva. Last year, the Serbian flag carrier handled 193.500 passengers between the two capitals, registering an average annual cabin load factor of 83.3%. In addition, Wizz Air maintains services between Belgrade and Beauvais Airport, located some eighty kilometres from downtown Paris. In 2024, it welcomed 88.903 travellers on the route, for an average annual cabin occupancy of 90.2%.
The new Paris service will mark the first time more than one airline has operated between Belgrade and Charles de Gaulle Airport since Air France ended its seasonal flights on the route in 2022. Earlier this year, Transavia France had planned to launch flights between Paris Orly and Belgrade but cancelled the service before it commenced. easyJet will launch a new service between
Manchester and Ljubljana on November 4, with flights operating twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The airline will face no competition on the route. Manchester will become easyJet’s second destination from Ljubljana, complementing its existing service to London Gatwick. The two cities were last linked with a scheduled air service on a seasonal summer basis by Adria Airways in 2019. During the former flag carrier’s last full summer of operations in 2018, it handled 2 651 passengers on the route, for an average cabin load factor of 70.9%.
