Kimi ga Shinu made Koi wo Shitai – Episode 5 – Sheena’s Wish and Tidy Up of Gratitude

At last, Mimi ask that question.

After Sheena found out that Mimi got resurrected, as she found out the full truth from Fran, it’s finally Gratitude Day. However, she is still not comfortable with the idea of Mimi fighting in a war, let alone killing people.

Mimi is still thinking about it in her sleep.

From last time, Sheena took Mimi to the daisy field and even made a daisy ring for her. Mimi finally asked that question. She asked what she wanted to do. After waking up, she still doesn’t know what she wants. It makes me wonder what her answer would be besides freeing Mimi from having to fight a war.

While they are late, Mimi seems excited about cleaning.

With that comes Gratitude Day, where they clean up the academy in a way to repay it. Of course, Mimi and Sheena are just wearing their shirt and skirt for the occasion since they are doing some cleaning. Mimi wondered why, but it’s not too surprising since they are going to get dirty. Their class is tidying up a library, meaning arranging a bunch of books. When they got there, Ari and Seiran were already arranging a shelf, as Omi told Mimi and Sheena to tidy up the shelf.

Sheena barely could levitate a book from the ground.

As expected, it was really dusty, and Mimi pulled a book out, and all the pages fell out. That is when Sheena read a page, something about a curse being the cost of magic. She wonders if the resurrection spell is a curse, as she wonders if she can break the curse on Mimi. That is when Mimi called Sheena’s name as she saw Mimi using magic to make books fly. Sheena tries to make a book fly, but she can only get it off the ground slightly for a short period, as she says how useless she is, which shows that she can’t protect anyone.

Sadly,. Mimi manages to have books fall on her head.
Somehow, Sheena’s head pats have special powers?
At last, it’s all done

Despite this, Mimi still thinks Sheena is good at cooking and cleaning. It shows when she helps one of her classmates put a book on the highest shelf. The funny thing is that a bunch of books fell on Mimi’s head and she hurt her head. Mimi asked for a head pat for comfort. The interesting thing green sparks are around Mimi as Sheena pats her head more. That is when Seiran and Airi checked on her. Is this a sign that Sheena can do some kind of healing magic?

Mimi in a cute dress.
It’s that girl that was being kissed by another a few episodes ago.

After all the hard work, Mimi and Sheena cleaned the entire row, although they were really dirty from all the dust. Mimi had a lot of fun, but Sheena says Gratitude Day is not all about cleaning. There is a display of stuff that people are giving away. When Sheena came back, she wondered where Mimi was. Well, the female classmates are using Mimi as a dress-up doll, which is not surprising given how cute she is. It’s the same girl that the silver-haired lady kissed, named Ester.

At least Ester had simular looking dress for Sheena.
In return, Sheena give some sweets.
Somehow, Sheena has healing powers as she manages to make a plant bloom.

She offered that outfit that Mimi is wearing and even offered Sheena a similar one-piece dress, but in light blue, which is quite nice. Of course, Sheena gave out sweets for everyone to enjoy. Also, Sheena took a potted plant that looks wilted, but think is still alive. What is interesting is that when she touches it, it has some green sparkles and sprouts a flower. This confirms that Sheena has some kind of healing magic she doesn’t know about.

Mimi is surely having a lot of fun in the showers.
Yes, those are rabbit ears.

One night, Sheena was waiting as Mimi came back, unscathed, but have blood covered on one of her sleeves. It’s fun to see them wash their hair, as after Sheena shampooed her hair, Mimi took the sprayer and put it up to her face. It’s funny to see her reaction when the spray is too strong. Well, Mimi did the same when she shampooed Sheena’s hair, making the shampoo bubbles look like bunny ears before spraying the spray with a bit too much power. Either way, Sheena appeared to have a lot of fun.

While in the bath, Mimi mentions the magic she uses to kill her foes, even many at one time. Still, Sheena seems worried that Mimi might not come back one day, even if Fran gives assurances that Mimi can’t die. She is sad if Mimi dies; she will never see her loved ones ever again. Sheena, besides being the weakest with magic, really doesn’t like war as she sees it as a very sad thing. Even when she met Fran the next day to get something to clean the blood, she wanted to break the spell on Mimi so she didn’t have to fight in the war.

Fran breaks the bad news about Sheena’s idealism to have Mimi stop fighting battles.

Of course, Fran says the obvious: without Mimi, everyone will end up in the war, including Sheena, and end up getting killed. Fran sees this as being worse than just relying on Mimi, as she can’t technically die. Sheena shares her frustration about war. It’s not too surprising, as even in real life, nobody seems to like the idea of war, except perhaps warmongers. Fran sees it as a necessary evil to protect themselves and their loved ones. Even the idea of using Mimi to fight the battles is questionable, but it’s the best option out of terrible options.

Sheena finally shares her promise.
Mimi cheerfully sees Sheena off,

In the end, Sheena concedes she can’t be idealistic to put an end to Mimi being sent out to every battle possible. She promises to keep waiting for Mimi to return and hopes that Mimi will come back safe and sound. As expected, Mimi sees her off in a cheerful mood.
