“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
James 4:8
Regardless of whether you believe in God, are an agnostic or even an atheist, we all believe what we want to believe, consider the following truths:
- God is far closer to you in your daily life than you may think.
- It is not possible for any of us to hide from God. That is true for for both Christian believers and non-believers, alike.
- Trying to hide from God is like a Toddler Playing Peek-a-boo. They truly think you can’t see them, but that is simply magical thinking on their part…
And so it is with God…
- God knows everything about you, what you do, think, and say.
Scripture also tells us in Proverbs 3:34:
“Toward the scorners He is scornful, but to the humble He gives favor.”
- God is Our Creator; Ever-Present, All-knowing, and All-Powerful, the Almighty Living, God
- In the eyes of God, what you believe, say and do really do matter…
“God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
James 4:6
- So what does God ask from us in return for His Unconditional Love?
“If you love me, keep my commandments”
John 14:15

Jesus gave us just 2 commandment that are a synopsis of sorts, of the 10 Commandments:
Matthew 22:37-39
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind….and Love your neighbor as yourself.”
So how do we do that? It’s easy once we understand: that we can’t earn nor ever deny God’s love for us.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39
As you can see, whether you know God, acknowledge Him, or believe in Him or not, He loves you all the same, like no one else ever could.
To get closer to God, we need to seek Him, and follow Him. He is just a heartfelt prayer away!
“The LORD is near to all who call upon him; who call upon him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
