The new year isn’t the only time we tend to put together a plan. Life is full of changes and opportunities and while it’s tempting to make a decision immediately, take a moment and bring your dreams to God in prayer. Bring God in on your decisions before taking action and watch how God will walk with you during your journey.
Lord Jesus,
I thank you for the recent opportunity I’ve received, and the path I’ve discovered as an option to a new place. It’s a blessing to have options and I need your guidance on this. Show me how to discern what path is for me and how to approach it. I bring to you not only this recent opportunity but the ones I’ve written down in the past for the future because I need your presence in my decision-making. God, I pray for clarity to hear you without confusion, discipline to stick to your instruction and not follow my flesh and focus to stay the course when I want to take the easy way out. Send correction when greed and comparison start to mute your voice. I thank you for planning my life and having good thoughts toward me. Thank you for giving me an expected end and caring about my needs and wants in this life. You will receive the glory from all of this and I will tell of your goodness all of my days. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
