Haval (+155.2%), Tank (+45.9%) stun, new Jetour G700 inside Top 10 – Best Selling Cars Blog

The Jetour G700 is already inside the Qatari Top 10.

New light vehicles sales in Qatar struggle this year at -18.5% to 34,325 over H1. The US-Iran war has no doubt had an effect on the market, like others in the region. Toyota (-15.2%) manages to improve its share from 28.1% a year ago to 29.2%, widening the gap with #2 Jetour (-33%) at 11.4% share. Nissan (-40.4%) implodes but stays at #3 while Kia (-10%) ensures the Top 4 is identical to last year. Tank (+45.9%) confirms Qatar is its world best performing market, reaching #5 overall with 4.5% share. Sister brand Haval (+155.2%) also delivers an outstanding score at #6, up 10 spots on a year ago. As for newcomers, Chery lands at #11 with 2.8% share, Denza at #12 with 2.2% and BYD at #22 with 1%.

Looking at models, the Toyota Land Cruiser (-9.3%) stays in the lead with 11.5% share, way above the #2, the Toyota Hilux (-15.9%) at 3.7%. The Lexus LX (-37.8%) completes the podium, passing the Nissan Patrol (-38.5%). Very disappointing score for the Jetour T2 (-76%) down to #5 ahead of the Haval H9 (+138.8%) up 19 spots year-on-year to #6. The Toyota Yaris Sedan (+74.6%) also impresses at #7 (+10). The Tank 500 (-20.3%) remains inside the Top 10 at #8 while the Jetour T1 (+123.6%) compensates for the T2’s weak score, up 19 ranks to #9. The Jetour G700 is the best-selling recent launch, reaching a stunning #10 just above the Tank 700 (#11).
