Appearance: Pours a light but very clear honey/amber body with a light amount of carbonation and a very thick amount of beige-hued head on top. The head diminishes decently and quickly over a couple moments, leaving behind a mild layered lacing on the glass.
Aroma: Moderately sweet with notes of caramel/honey, a bit of a fresh cut grass presence, and a mild piney bitterness from the hops – a hint of grapefruit at the end.
Taste: The beer is fairly smooth – it has a light caramel sweetness to it, a bit of a graininess, a mild grapefruit/lemon citrus zest to it, and lastly a mild pine bitterness from the hops.
Overall Thoughts: I expected this to be a bit more bitter than it was, but it’s a solid American Canadian Pale Ale that’s got your classic sweet malt meets floral and piney bitterness at the end, but not overly aggressive as I remember from before the Hazy phase became a thing.
