After nearly a decade off the menu, McDonald’s is answering the cries of Snack Wrap fans everywhere. The fast-food giant announced the return of this cult-favorite item, with McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger breaking the news during a December 5th appearance on Good Morning America.
“The Snack Wrap will be back in 2025,” Erlinger teased, acknowledging its devoted fan base. “I get so many emails about this product.” While he remained tight-lipped about the exact release date, citing “competitive reasons,” the anticipation is already reaching a fever pitch.
First launched in 2006, the Snack Wrap quickly became a go-to choice for those craving a light yet satisfying snack. Each wrap featured a tender piece of crispy or grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, cheese, and a choice of ranch or honey mustard sauce, all tucked neatly into a soft tortilla. Despite its popularity, McDonald’s discontinued the Snack Wrap in 2016, citing operational challenges and declining sales.
Its absence, however, only added to its legend. A social media account tracks its return; fans have never stopped campaigning for it. News of the comeback has sparked an outpouring of joy online, with one fan exclaiming, “Snack Wraps coming back feels like a win for nostalgia and late-night cravings everywhere!”

The returning wraps will be part of McDonald’s revamped McCrispy lineup, which currently includes chicken sandwiches and tenders. The updated version has already succeeded in Canada, where multiple flavor options have made it a hit.
McDonald’s stripped the grilled-chicken Snack Wrap from U.S. menus—only the fried option survives. And when they relaunch, only two sauces will be available: Ranch and Spicy. Gone are the days of honey mustard and sweet chili, all in the name of “faster service.”
One thing is clear: the Snack Wrap returns on Thursday, July 10th, 2025.
